“Great service, very polite staff. I live a couple of miles away and have seen this shop for ages, and never had to need one until recently. They have a $280 diagnostic fee which apparently is some kind of minimum charge, but they were able to diagnose and clean out a clogged vapor line (no other problems) all covered under the diagnostic fee. Ok by me. Car’s back on the road with more confidence.”

“I do not recommend SOS Auto Repair in San Jose. My van's turn signal issue led me here. They first suggested I order a relay, which I did, but it didn't resolve the problem. After finally taking the van to their shop, they called three days later to say it was actually just a fuse, and the repair would be $280. Understanding the high cost for a fuse, I respectfully asked if they could include a basic oil change (which my van needed) in that $280 charge as a gesture of customer service. The owner, Mr. Arthur, flatly refused and was incredibly rude in the process. Charging $280 for a fuse replacement after giving incorrect initial advice is excessive. Combining that with terrible customer service and a greedy, dismissive attitude from the owner makes this an easy decision: avoid this shop at all costs. They are dishonest and do not value their customers.”
